Southampton gets first win, Arsenal smashes Bournemouth

Substitute Che Adams scored twice as Southampton beat Leicester to their first Premier League win in nine games. A superb free-kick from James Maddison rolled around the wall and into the bottom corner from 25 yards out to give Leicester the lead.

Southampton’s first win since April came after the youngest Premier League starting line-up since May 2017 was named by the club with an average age of 23 years and 238 days.

Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium won their opening third Premier League match for the first time since the 2004/05 season. The win came courtesy of goals from Odegaard who scored 2 goals in the opening eleven minutes and a sensational strike from 21 year old William Saliba.
