Liverpool are reportedly considering Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement for next season, according to the UK Telegraph. To secure his services, the Reds would need to activate a release clause in his contract.
The clause allows Amorim to leave Sporting for a fee of €15 million (£13 million/$16 million) this summer. This amount reduces to €10 million (£8.5 million/$10.5 million) the following season.
This news comes after another potential candidate, Xabi Alonso, recently announced his decision to remain with Bayer Leverkusen.
