Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has finally unveiled the release date for her much-anticipated foray into Nollywood. The film, titled “Water & Garri,” is set to premiere on May 10, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video.
This news comes after Savage previously hinted at her involvement in the film industry, leaving fans eager for details. On Thursday, she took to social media to announce the premiere date, sharing a promotional poster featuring herself alongside Nollywood actors Jemima Osunde and Mike Afolayan.
“My beautiful people, our movie @waterandgarrifilm has a date,” Savage wrote in the caption. “See you May 10th @primevideo.” Notably, “Water & Garri” also serves as the title of Savage’s latest EP, potentially hinting at a thematic connection between the projects.
Fans can expect more information to emerge closer to the premiere date, but for now, the wait is on to see Savage light up the screen in her debut film role.
