I.G applauds officer who rejects $200,000 bribe in Kano

 

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba praised Kano Police SP Daniel Amah for refusing a $200,000 bribe.

Kano State Command spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa told reporters in Kano on Tuesday.

He said Amah was presented with a letter of recommendation signed by I-G by the state’s acting police chief, DCP Abubakar Zubairu.

“Amah was highly commended for maintaining outstanding excellent work, uncommon focus, dedication to duty and exhibition of sound professionalism”.

“Leading to the arrest and prosecution of one Ali Zaki and some police officers in a case of an armed robbery involving the sum of N320.5 million and also rejecting 200,000 dollars offered to him as a bribe.” he said.

On the other hand, 38 Deputy Superintendents of Police command who were recently promoted to Superintendent of Police have been decorated by the acting police commissioner.

He urged them to set an example and demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to their duties.
