In a move to prioritize the health and well-being of civil servants, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has established a dedicated committee.

The 12-member committee, inaugurated by Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (represented by Dr. Comfort Adeosun, Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office), aligns with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP-25).

This plan emphasizes improving the value proposition for staff by fostering a safe, comfortable work environment, promoting well-being, and providing essential support services.

Dr. Esan highlighted the committee’s role in fulfilling the National Policy on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). This policy aims to establish a framework for enhancing employee working conditions and workspaces.

She emphasized safety as a top priority, announcing an upcoming safety audit. “You are becoming the voice and eyes of safety within the OHCSF,” Dr. Esan told committee members.
