In “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984), Johnny Depp played the character Glen Lantz, one of the teenagers terrorized by the villain Freddy Krueger.
Glen dies in a particularly memorable and shocking way. While he falls asleep on his bed, Freddy Krueger attacks him in the dream world. In his dream, Glen is unable to wake up and ends up being dragged into the bed by Freddy’s powers.
The scene is famous for the blood geyser that erupts from the bed after Freddy pulls Glen into it. A massive amount of blood pours out, creating a surreal and grotesque effect. This dramatic and over-the-top death is one of the iconic moments in the movie, adding to the dark, imaginative horror that the “Nightmare on Elm Street” series is known for.
So, to summarize: Glen dies by being sucked into his bed by Freddy Krueger in the dream world, and a large, bloody explosion follows.
