Power Outages Plague Abuja, Lagos and Nasarawa

Residents in Abuja, Lagos and Nasarawa faced power cuts on Tuesday due to various technical issues.

In Lagos, the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (Ikeja DisCo) reported significant load restrictions across several transmission stations, including Oworo, Maryland, Itire, Isolo, Ogba, Alausa, Ejigbo, Alimosho, Ilupeju and Ayobo. The company apologized for the inconvenience and assured customers they were working with stakeholders to restore power.

Meanwhile, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) blamed strong winds for downed power lines in parts of Nasarawa State. Areas affected included Uke, Gidan Zakara, Gora, Auta-Baleifi, Tukur Farm, CS Farm, Masaka, Keffi GRA, Luvu, Dunamis Community 1&2, Dadin Kowa and Keffi environs.

Separately, some unspecified areas within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) also experienced blackouts due to a technical fault. AEDC did not provide details on the extent of the outage or the estimated time of restoration.
