How to Block GTBank ATM Card

There are a few ways you can block your GTbank ATM card:

Mobile App: This is likely the most convenient method. Sign in to the GTbank mobile app and navigate to the “Cards & Checks” section. There you should find a “Block Card” or “Card Hotlist” option. Follow the on-screen prompts to select the specific card and confirm that you want to block it.

USSD Code: You can use a USSD code to block your card. Dial 73751*74# on your phone and follow the prompts. You’ll need to provide the phone number linked to your account and your USSD PIN to confirm the block.

Internet Banking: Log in to your GTbank internet banking account and navigate to the “Cards” section. Select the card you want to block and choose the “Block Card” option. Confirm the action with your internet banking PIN or password.

Phone: If you are unable to use the above methods, you can call GTbank customer care at +234 700 448 0000 (all networks) or +234 803 900 3900 (MTN subscribers only). A customer service representative will be able to assist you in blocking your card.

Blocking your card will prevent any further transactions from being made on the card. However, it won’t necessarily unblock your card if it was lost or stolen. If you believe your card is compromised, you should also report it as lost or stolen to GTbank after blocking it. This will help to ensure that no unauthorized transactions can be made on your account.
