2023 election not about tribe, religion – Obi

Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi says the 2023 election won’t be about connectivity, tribe, tribe, or religion, but about ability, character, and willingness to perform.

Mr. Obi made the statement at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, earlier at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.

“Remember, the election we are going to have next year will not be about the tribe, not religion, not connection, not an entitlement, but about character, competence, capacity, and commitment to deliver,” Obi stated.

The presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima on behalf of his principal Bola Tinubu also graced the event with their presence.

The 2022 NBA AGM is themed “BOLD Transitions” and its General Conference was expected to hold between August 19 to 26, with the opening ceremony happening today.
