The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is Professor Is-haq Oloyede. He has held the position since 2016 and has made significant contributions to the improvement of the admission process in Nigeria.
Professor Oloyede is a renowned academic and administrator. Before his appointment as JAMB Registrar, he was a Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies and served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin. His leadership at JAMB has seen various reforms aimed at improving transparency, reducing malpractice, and making the admission process more efficient.
Under his leadership, JAMB has introduced measures like computer-based testing (CBT), a more streamlined registration system, and Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for better management of admissions. Additionally, his administration has focused on reducing cases of examination malpractices and improving the accessibility of the JAMB exam to a wider audience.
