Which Feasts are remembered in the Rosary?

The Rosary traditionally focuses on specific events in the lives of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. These events are grouped into mysteries and are remembered during the praying of the Rosary. The Rosary is divided into four sets of mysteries:

1. The Joyful Mysteries (usually prayed on Mondays and Saturdays):
   • The Annunciation
   • The Visitation
   • The Nativity of Jesus
   • The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
   • The Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple
2. The Sorrowful Mysteries (usually prayed on Tuesdays and Fridays):

   • The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan
   • The Wedding Feast at Cana
   • The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
   • The Transfiguration of Jesus
   • The Institution of the Eucharist

These mysteries reflect key events or feasts in the lives of Jesus and Mary, commemorating their roles in salvation history. Some of these, like the Assumption and Coronation of Mary, are specific to the Church’s liturgical calendar as feasts. Others, such as the Nativity and Crucifixion, align with major feasts celebrated throughout the year.
