Cora-Ann Mihalik, born in 1954, is an Emmy Award-winning television news anchor and reporter renowned for her extensive career in broadcast journalism. She began her journey in media after graduating from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Her early roles included positions at WGGB-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she became the station’s first female news anchor and reporter, followed by stints at WHP-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and WJKW in Cleveland. She also served as the first female news anchor at WTCN in Minneapolis before moving to WLS-TV in Chicago.
In 1987, Mihalik joined the Fox network, becoming the inaugural national news anchor for “FOX News Extra,” produced at WNYW in New York City. During her tenure at WNYW, she co-anchored the 7 PM and 10 PM weekday newscasts and contributed to the program “A Current Affair.” After a maternity leave in 1998, she returned to work exclusively at My 9 WWOR as a weekday reporter and weekend anchor.
