If you add H₂SO₄ (sulfuric acid) to water, the solution itself remains colorless because both sulfuric acid and water are clear and colorless liquids.
However, if an indicator is present:
- It may change color depending on the acidity of the solution. For example, litmus turns red in acidic conditions.
- Without an indicator, there is no visible color change.
Important Note:
Always add acid to water (not water to acid) to prevent dangerous splashing or heat release.
