Super Eagles Maintains Position in Latest FIFA Ranking

The Nigeria Super Eagles has retained 31st position in latest world FIFA ranking for the month of August 2022.

The players under Jose Peseiro maintained the 1,504.7 points they scored in July, according to the rankings released Thursday by FIFA’s audit site.

At the continental level, it ranks fourth behind Senegal (18th), Morocco (23rd) and Tunisia (30th).

With five major tournaments in different parts of the world, international women’s football has been making headlines worldwide in recent months.

Fifty-eight international matches were played in men’s events, mainly in Africa and Asia. As a result, changes in the August edition of the FIFA World Rankings are rare.

Two countries, Mauritania (107th, up 3 points) and Botswana (146th, up 3 points), performed well and moved up 3 places overall.
