Male and female cattles are called?

Male and female cattle are called by different names depending on their age and reproductive status. Male cattle are generally referred to as bulls if they are intact (not castrated) and mature. Young male cattle are called bull calves, while castrated males are known as steers and are often raised for beef production. Female cattle, on the other hand, are called cows if they have given birth to a calf. Younger females that have not yet calved are referred to as heifers, while baby females are called heifer calves. These terms help differentiate cattle by their roles in agriculture and breeding.
