The number of laps in a 1500-meter swim depends on the length of the pool you’re swimming in:
- In a 25-meter pool (short course):
1500 meters ÷ 25 meters = 60 laps - In a 50-meter pool (long course):
1500 meters ÷ 50 meters = 30 laps
So, if you’re swimming in a standard 25-meter pool, you’ll need to swim 60 laps, and in a 50-meter pool, it’ll be 30 laps.
