How Can I Delete a Service in Windows?

To delete a service in Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator (search for “cmd,” right-click, and select Run as administrator).
  2. Type the following command to stop the service, replacing <service-name> with the exact name of the service:
    bash
    sc stop <service-name>
  3. To delete the service, use:
    bash
    sc delete <service-name>

You can find the exact service name in the Services window (press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter). Be cautious, as deleting a service is permanent.
