Court denies FG request for extradition of Kyari to U.S

A judge ruled Monday that extradition requests made by the office of AGF on behalf of the federal government were baseless and may be dismissed.

The federal government failed to file an extradition claim against Kyari in order to clear the way for his extradition to the United States in response to allegations of fraud in the United States.

But Judge Ekwo ruled that the federal government had no grounds for making an extradition request after taking Abba Kyary to a Nigerian court on charges in the United States.
