Aiyedatiwa Declares Refusal to Pay 273 Aides Selected by Attorney-General

The Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has taken a firm stance, asserting that he will not authorize payment for the 273 lawyers appointed as aides by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Olukayode Ajulo.

This decision comes amidst the Attorney-General’s justification of the appointments, emphasizing their significance in bolstering the provision of top-notch, impartial, and ethical legal services to the state, while also safeguarding the rights of its citizens. Ajulo explained that the appointed aides, categorized as Honorary Advisers and Technical Advisers, presented a diverse array of ideas which led to their approval.

Adeniyan emphasized that these appointments lacked the official endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
