49th USOSA Plenary: Uyo Hosts Grand Gathering of Unity Schools Old Students

The city of Uyo is set to host the 49th Plenary of the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA), bringing together old students of Nigeria’s Unity Schools from across the country and beyond for a weekend of fellowship, leadership, networking, intellectual engagement and celebration.

The grand gathering is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Jacksville Events Place, Unit E, Plot 1, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The 49th USOSA Plenary is expected to provide a platform for members to reconnect, deliberate on issues affecting the association, exchange ideas, celebrate achievements and engage in conversations around the future of USOSA and its contribution to national development.

The gathering will bring together a diverse community of old students comprising professionals, business leaders, public servants, academics, entrepreneurs and other accomplished Nigerians who share the heritage and values of the Unity Schools.

At the heart of the gathering is the enduring USOSA spirit of “Pro Unitate” — for unity, reflecting the association’s commitment to fostering friendship, leadership, service and nation building.

USOSA AWARD & DINNER NIGHT

The 49th Plenary will culminate in an Award and Dinner Night, an evening dedicated to recognising excellence and outstanding contributions while providing members an opportunity to celebrate together.

The red carpet will commence at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Award and Dinner Night at 7:00 p.m. at Jacksville Events Place, Uyo.

The evening is expected to feature the recognition of distinguished individuals, networking, music, entertainment, fine dining and a celebration of the achievements and enduring bonds within the USOSA family.

Members and guests are expected to grace the occasion in elegant attire as they walk the red carpet, celebrate the honourees and share in an evening of fellowship and recognition.

The 49th USOSA Plenary is therefore more than a reunion. It is an opportunity for a generation of Unity School alumni to reconnect with their shared heritage, strengthen relationships and reflect on their collective responsibility to leadership and nation building.

As Uyo welcomes USOSAns from Nigeria and beyond, the message of the gathering remains clear: fostering the spirit of Pro Unitate and advancing unity, leadership and nation building in Nigeria.

Uyo is ready. USOSAns are ready.

IT IS BETTER TOGETHER!
